Days 3 & 4
Derbyshire v Kent - Derbyshire win by
Ken - 265 & 161
Der - 132 & 298-8
Kent collapsed on day three from 93-3 overnight to 118-7, with Palladino continuing to pick up wickets. 81 from Key lifted the visitors past 150 but Palladino picked up the last 3 wickets as he finished with 7 for 53 and gave Derbyshire a chance to pull off a surprising win, by chasing down 295.
Madsen (30) and Lineker (45) put on 83 for the first wicket to give the hosts the perfect start but they both went in quick succession leaving Khawaja and Durston to pick up the chase, which is just what they did. Both of them went to fifties but Shreck followed up his good first innings bowling by removing both of them.
A collapse then began as Derbyshire slipped to 236-7 and 257-8 but Redfern completed an excellent set of scores from the top five by finishing 50* and put on 41 with Groenewald (20*) to take the hosts to a superb victory that lifts them further ahead of the other teams in Divsion 2.
